Meet Sadie Newest Rescued Canine

Sadie is a 10 year old female black lab.  Her owner recently passed away from cancer which not only left Sadie with no place to go, but she also lost the one person she had been loyal to for the last ten years. 

Sadie had a wonderful life with her owner which included playing ball (Sadie’s favorite activity) and going to work with her owner working with seniors in a senior home.  Sadie brought so much joy to everyone she met and she was loved by everyone she knew especially her owner.  Even though her owner was battling cancer, her most important concern was making sure that Sadie would go to a great home.  Sadie stayed by her side until she died.  Sadie went through such a difficult time when her owner passed and she wasn’t sure where her life would take her.

Then she found Wind Song Animal Sanctuary and is now in a great home where she can live out the rest of her life loved by a nice family.  Sadie goes on walks, plays fetch daily, gets professionally groomed, and is pampered by three children who adore her.  She HAS settled into her new home and really enjoys being around the children.  She waits at the door when she knows they are coming home.  Sadie loves her treats and has recently bonded with the cat in the home.  They can be found lying next to each other in the middle of the day. 

Sadie will forever be loved with the help of Wind Song Animal Sanctuary as she enters the last transition of her life as a senior dog.
